The Aurora Borealis. Northern Lights. Fire of the Foxes – Revontulet. This ‘once in a life time’ phenomenon has many names. It happens around 200 times a year here in Lapland. What we need is clear skies and darkness and we have plenty of both around here. With the Kaamos period (start of Dec to start of Jan), the sun doesn’t rise for about 30 days in Saariselkä – but the colors during that time is a sight to behold. So the scenery during our trips can be truly breathtaking. Lapland is called “a land of extremes” – come and see for yourself, the Auroras will be waiting!
